Before you start
- Practice exams open once every lesson in the course is marked complete.
- Each exam card shows the number of questions, the time limit and the score needed to pass.
The timer
- The clock starts when you press "Start exam" and counts down at the top of the screen.
- The clock is kept by the site, not by your browser. Closing the tab or the browser does not pause it.
- When the time reaches zero while your exam is open, it is submitted for you.
- Questions you leave blank are scored as incorrect. The exam warns you before you submit with blanks.
If you close the browser or lose your connection
- If time is still left, return to the course and press Resume exam. Your answers are kept on the device and browser you were using, so resume in the same one.
- If time has run out, the attempt is closed without your answers and scores zero. You can start a new attempt.
If you run out of time
The result page says "Time ran out before you submitted". An attempt that ended because time ran out does not count toward opening the next Core course. To be safe, submit before the timer ends.
Retakes
You can take the practice exams as often as you like. The button says "Retake exam" once you have an attempt. Your recent scores feed your readiness meter, and the course page shows your best score and average.
