Core, plus one for the crane you run.
The CCO Mobile Crane Operator written exams: multiple choice, timed, at a test centre. This is what the prep is for.
We are not a test provider, but we can walk you through the application and booking process.
On a real crane, scored by an examiner.
A set of tasks on a course, within a time limit. Booked separately, at a test site.
Posted to you. Good for five years.
Your CCO card lists every crane type you passed on. Keep it on you — you will be asked for it.
The written exam is where people come unstuck — load charts especially. It is also the only part of this you can practise as many times as it takes before it counts, and there is no sense paying classroom prices to do it.
Lessons and questions are built on OSHA 1926 Subpart CC, OSHA 1910.180 and the ASME B30 series, and each lesson says which one it is quoting. Those are the documents the written exam is drawn from.
A classroom course covering the written exam and nothing more runs $500 – $1,000 before travel. Paying more does not buy you better content for this part — it buys you a room and a drive.
Ask an instructor from inside the lesson, any day you are studying. A classroom course ends when you walk out of it — this one is still there if you have to retest.
Timed full-length exams, load charts step by step, and a breakdown of every topic you keep missing. Retake any of it as many times as you like, and new material is added at no extra cost.
Four things to say yes to. No experience required.
Everyone takes Core first. Then you pick the specialty for the crane you run.

Recertify in the 12 months before your card expires: the written exam(s) again, and the practical too unless you can attest to 1,000 hours of crane-related experience. The same courses work as your refresher.
Our practice questions are our own, written from the published standards. They are not CCO exam questions. CCO's exams are confidential, and the attestation you sign says so: please never share exam questions with us or anyone else.
