Drills are short, rapid, timed tests. Open them from the Drills shortcut on your Operator's Dashboard. The questions are drawn at random from the question bank every time you start one, so you can take a drill again and again.
- Core Drill: 10 questions from across the Core: site, operations, technical and load chart knowledge. 5 minutes.
- Swing Cab Drill: 4 load chart knowledge and power line questions, then 3 load chart problems on the Link-Belt RTC-8050. 14 minutes.
- Fixed Cab Drill: the same, with load chart problems on the Manitex M1768. 14 minutes.
The clock
A drill gives you half the time the written exam does: 30 seconds a question, and 4 minutes for each load chart problem. There is one clock for the whole drill. When it runs out, the drill hands itself in with whatever you have answered.
Free and subscription
- With a subscription, every drill is open, as often as you like.
- Without one, you get one free Core Drill every two days, counted from when you started the last one. The Swing Cab and Fixed Cab Drills need a subscription.
After a drill
You see your score, how each topic went, and every question with your answer and the correct one. Your answers also feed your study recommendations and the Your Performance figures on your Operator's Dashboard. Every drill you finish is kept in Past Results.
