1. You need to finish an earlier course first
The Core courses go in order: Core I, then II, III and IV. A course opens after you finish every lesson of the one before it and pass one of its exams. On your Operator's Dashboard the locked course says "Finish" and the name of the earlier course, with a link to it.
2. It needs a subscription
Courses need a subscription (the orientation is always free). A course that needs one shows "Subscription required", and opening it takes you to the Subscription page. See What is free and what needs a subscription.
3. An instructor has locked it
A course can be temporarily unavailable while it is being worked on. It shows "Temporarily unavailable" with a note. Nothing is wrong with your account. Check back later.
4. The practice exams are locked
Inside a course, the practice exams open once you have marked every lesson complete. The exam button shows a lock until then.
Also check
- You may not be enrolled yet. Open the course from your Operator's Dashboard and press Enroll.
- If you are following the guided pathway, a course later on the route stays closed until you reach it. Leave the pathway from your Operator's Dashboard to pick your own order.
- Instructors can preview any course, so what they see can differ from what students see.
