Results
How and when your result reaches you depends on the testing method you chose, and the certifying organization's confirmation is what tells you which applies to you. Do not plan around a result arriving on a particular day unless they have told you it will.
Keep the score report
The score report is not just a pass or a fail. It breaks your performance down by subject area, which makes it the single most useful document you have if you need to retake anything — it tells you where to spend your time instead of guessing.
Keep it even after you pass. Score reports, your card and any employer evaluations all matter at recertification time and on audited sites.
The card
The card is issued once both the written and the practical requirements are met — passing the written exams alone does not produce one. It lists every crane type you passed on and is valid for five years.
Start thinking about recertifying in the twelve months before it expires, not after. Letting it lapse can mean starting again as a new candidate.
A card is not the same as being qualified for a job
Under the federal rules, holding a card does not by itself make you qualified for a specific machine or a specific task. Your employer still has to evaluate you on the equipment and the work, and document it.
Where we fit in. We are an independent training provider. We prepare you for the written examination and can walk you through the application and booking process. We do not write the exams, administer the written or practical exams, or issue certifications, and passing our courses is not certification. See our training and safety disclaimer.
Checked September 2026. Fees and requirements are set by the certifying organization and can change — confirm the current ones with them before you apply.
